Project Management - Fixed some bugs. This is an intermediate release and most customers should not install it.

  • Version 8.210 Customers only

Sales Order - Split Line - Allow line to be split when the material assigned to the line is connected to a bill. Sales Order - Split Line - If the quantity to be moved to a new line is 0.00, a new line is created as a copy of the original line, and material is not assigned to the new line. Reports - Material Management - Fixed issues in the following reports: Profit By Type, Volume by Type, Material Purchases. Project Management - If material on the original order was not found on Material Handling, QFloors was producing false information on the new work order. Project Management - Stored Materials were not calculated correctly if the unit price was missing on Material Handling Sales Order. Pick Ticket - Fixed the Pickup Type field. Bills/Credits - Bills were not loading correctly if bill lines were missing the unit price (line Total field would show $0.00).

  • Version 8.209 Customers only
    7 October 2021

Materials Screen Search Window - We no longer display the Type search field in the following lists: Sales Confirmation, Pick, Staging, Transfer. Job Cost - JC Edit Window - Cleaned up the appearance and some of the labels that should have read Labor instead of Materials. Job Cost - Check All Button - We no longer allow the Check All function when the Next Install date of the sales order is in a closed period. Job Cost - Close Period Modification Password - When you close or open sales orders in a closed period, the override password is now required only once. Remnant Tags - Fixed printing of private style and private color names. Stock List - Don't allow checkboxes to be displayed. User Access Window - Change Password - Fixed issue causing passwords to not save after editing them. Bills/Credits - Fixed issue causing a large figure to populate the unit price and total price after erasing a line. Bills/Credits - Edit Description- Fixed issue preventing the Description field on bill lines to be edited. Sales - Overage Calculation - Fixed calculation errors in the Overage window. Product Catalog - Dropped Items - Only auto-change all of the colors to be dropped if the style is dropped. QProPay - ACH - The ability to process ACH payments has been activated in QProPay. This works like credit card payments with the only difference being that that the information entered is different. The required information is Bank Account Number, Banking Institution Routing Number, and Bank Account Type (personal or business). You, the flooring dealer processing the ACH payment, must obtain from your customer a signed document which authorizes you to process the ACH payment / withdraw funds from their account. Consult with your bank representative about the form to use. Materials - B2B Order Status - We have added a Status button at the bottom of the detail window in the Materials screen. Clicking this button will give you the most current information about the displayed order. You must have a valid reference number, and a Web Services account with the vendor. Currently (10/05/2021), Shaw Industries is the only vendor supporting this feature. See our B2B page for information about Web Services, and our list of B2B Certified Vendors to see if the vendor supports Web Services. Sales - Split Line - We have added a feature that allows you to split a sales order line: You tell QFloors the quantity you want moved off of a line item, and it will create a new line with that quantity while reducing the quantity on the original line. This works for both materials and labor, but there are a handful of rules and sub-features to be aware of. We expect to publish a Knowledge Base article in the next few days explaining all the details. This release note will be updated to include a link to that article when it is published.

Sales Order Settings - Required Fields - Fixed issue causing Profit Center requirement to not work.

  • Version 8.207 Customers only
    30 August 2021

Product Search Window - Styles marked as Dropped were not displaying "DROPPED-" in the style name. Project Setup Window - Deleting a Project (Commercial) - When deleting a project, the warning message was not always giving accurate information about the number of sales orders associated with the project. Change Log - Creating Template - Added the template sales order number to the Change Log when creating a new sales order from a template: "Sales Order Created - Template #". Job Cost - Ship (Credit Card Fee) - The Ship job cost will be automatically checked only when the balance of the sales order is $0.00 (working the same way as the automatic job costing of Sales Commissions). Because payments received after the sales order is Completed could have the credit card Type selected, we are leaving this cost unchecked until the balance is $0.00 so that the credit card cost can be applied, and commission costs automatically adjusted accordingly. Payroll CSV Import - Don't import if the date in the CSV file is within a closed period. Sales Order - Required Fields - Under File > Preferences > Sales Order Settings, we have added the ability to specify which header fields on sales orders are required to be populated in order to save a sales order. QProPay - Terminal Tokens / Zip Code - This has been an ongoing issue since the beginning of our relationship with Heartland Payment Systems, but only recently has been discovered when we were creating QProPay. If a token is created from a credit card that is inserted into a terminal, no AVS (Address Verification Service, i.e., zip codes) are saved with the token. The result is that our customers are getting overcharged for each of these transactions. For a $1,000,000 retail store they could be overcharged as much as $1,200 a year if they use a lot of these tokens, and for a $10,000,000 store that would $12,000. QProPay now requires a "valid" zip code to be entered and attached to these kinds of tokens or they will not be saved. This feature is only available in QProPay. We are unable to modify Heartland to be able to attach a zip code to the token. QProPay - Token Copy - It is now possible to copy a token from a sales order that has a token saved to a sales order with no token. At times you can have multiple, active sales orders for a customer in QFloors and need the token to post payments on the sales orders that don't have the token saved on them. To copy the token, go to the sales order without a token and go to the QProPay payments window. A new button labeled "Copy Token" has been placed at the bottom of the window. Clicking that button will bring up a new search window where you can find a token on an existing sales order. NOTE: We have deactivated the feature where you can copy a token from a template. This new feature replaces the previous template feature. Employee List - Comment Column - The Comment field has been added as a column to the list in the Employee/Subs screen.

QProPay - Copy Token - We have added a Copy Token button at the bottom of the QProPay payment processing window, allowing you to copy a token from another sales order to the sales order that is currently loaded. When you click the Copy Token button, a search window opens to help you find another sales order with a token attached. In conjunction with this feature, we have disabled the ability to copy a token to a new sales order when created from a template. We found that it was too easy to make mistakes and copy old tokens that were no longer valid. This new Copy Token feature replaces the ability to copy the token using the template feature.

Credit Card Processing Fee - The rate in the Misc setup window wasn't being saved. This has been fixed which also fixed other display issues related to this feature. Finalize PO - Adjusted some phrasing in the window. Sales Order - Total Button (when Canada) - Fixed some more calculation issues for those in Canada when using the "Calculate invoice total by gross margin" option (see Release 8.158). A total was being calculated that resulted in a slightly different profit margin than the margin that was entered. All Sales Payments (QProPay - Voids) - QFloors now prevents you from voiding a payment that was created in the All Sales Payment window. QFloors can't allow a payment to be voided when it is spread across many sales orders. You will need to wait until the payment has been batched and then refund the payments on each sales order. Project Management - Work Orders - If the style and color on a sales order line on the original bid did not match the Material Handling ticket, all of the lines that did match were not showing. Fixed this bug so at least the matching lines would be displayed. Job Cost Report - The credit card fee has been added to this report to give more details about the Ship field in the job cost window.

Material Detail - Display decimal place in length and width when user does not have Stock Control access. Project Management - Project must have a name to be valid - the name cannot be blank. Sales Order - Total Button (when Canada) - Fixed some more calculation issues for those in Canada when using the "Calculate invoice total by gross margin" option (see Release 8.158). A total was being calculated that resulted in a slightly different profit margin than the margin that was entered. Split Assignment and Product Catalog Search Window - Both of these windows display information from the Materials screen with reference to inventory totals. If a system had one inventory item defined with a price unit of Each, and another one had SqFt or SqYds, incorrect information was returned. Project Management - Material Handling - If you changed the style or color name on the material handling document so that it didn't match the original bid, it was causing a problem with matching other lines from the bid to the material handling document, so the error extended beyond the line that had the problem. Finalize PO - Added a checkbox to allow saving selected Bill To, Ship To, and Alternate Carrier values as defaults. (The selected Shipping option is not saved.) These are saved separately per each computer, not for the entire company, and not for just the employee who is logged into QFloors. Sales Order Payments - Added a timestamp to the payments in the description field. Change Log - Now posting an entry in the Change Log report when a material is unassigned from a sales order line by right-clicking a line in the material detail window and selecting "Remove Product Assignment". Job Cost for Credit Card Processing Cost - Added a Credit Card Fee field to the Misc setup window. When that field has a rate in it and you post a payment with the Credit Card type, QFloors multiplies the payment amount by that rate and automatically adds the resulting amount to the Ship cost. (If you right-click the Ship cost, the cost is part of the Mat Total Cost amount.) Credit card voids and returns are also taken into account and automatically subtracted from the job cost. Modifying the Ship cost works normally: That cost displays the modified amount regardless of any automatically calculated freight and credit card costs. But if you un-job cost the Ship cost and refresh the sales order, the Ship cost will again automatically calculate the freight and credit card costs using the freight amounts and credit card fee rate then in effect in your setups. Project Management - Delete Projects - You may now delete project names from the projects list.

Sales Order - Overage Feature - We have reworked the calculations in the Overage window to include CARE calculations. (CARE is a California-only "assessment" on each carpet sale.) Please note that when using the overage feature, sales rep 1 should be the same on both sales orders. Additionally, the sales tax strategy and sales tax rate should be the same on both sales orders. Sales Order - Labor Line - Couldn't add labor if a material number was already assigned on the line. Sales Confirmation - Increased speed of creating a material item during the Sales Confirmation process, especially when the selected manufacturer has a large quantity of styles in the Product Catalog. Duplicate SKU Numbers Under Different Manufacturers - Fixed issue causing an "bad SKU" error message during Sales Confirmation and during the Pick process. Sales Order - Total Button (when Canada) - Fixed a couple of calculation issues for those in Canada when using the "Calculate invoice total by gross margin" option. (There is still an issue if the sales order includes labor.) B2B Product Type - Added VINVPC as a hard surface type (Vinyl Stone Plastic Composite). QLeads - Fixed error on job costing post.

Checkbook - Check Preview - Check preview window wasn't displaying Street 2 from the Vendor Accounts setup. Sales Commission Report Window and PrePrint Report - Incorrect cost displayed on left side of the sales commission report window, and in the pre-print report, if you unchecked a line before finalizing the report. Sales Tax Report Window and PrePrint Report - Incorrect cost displayed on left side of the sales tax report window, and in the pre-print report, if you unchecked a line before finalizing the report. Sales Tax Report Window - County and City taxes were rounding up before calculating the amount for the Total column in the window. User Access Settings - Duplicate Usernames - Popup message if duplicate username exists when creating a new username. Vendor Accounts Setup - Fixed the setup window so that it is updated after a vendor account is edited. Contract Labor, Sales Commissions, Sales Tax, and Unbilled Reports windows - Added a Check/Uncheck Highlighted button. Highlight items in the list by clicking one item then, while holding the shift key down, click another item farther up or down the list. Then click the Check/Uncheck Highlighted button for QFloors to check or uncheck all of those items. Vendor Accounts Setup - Added a Tax ID column to the window and to the exported CSV file so that you may see which vendors may be included in the Print Vendor 1099 of Employees/Subs Pay Totals report. Employees/Subs Screen - Added a search window at the bottom left of the screen. Search by Last Name, First Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, Type, Active. Employees/Subs List - Added the Status column. Finalize PO Window - Added a field for ETA data. Finalize PO Window - When selecting the Bill To and Ship To locations, QFloors will display a message asking if you want to save those selections as the defaults. Search Window Date Options - Added the following options to the date selection list in the Search windows: Yesterday, Last Week, Week to Date. Search Window Date - Save Selection - When you close QFloors, the selected date search option is now saved and restored when you open QFloors again. This applies separately to each of the main screens - each date selection in each screen is saved separately from the others. The exception to this is when All Dates is the selected date option when QFloors is closed, in which case Month to Date is restored when QFloors is opened again in order to reduce the amount of time it takes to open the software. These are saved per computer, not per user login. Commercial Projects Summary Report - Replaced the Pre-Payment column with In Process Cost. Commercial Projects Summary Report - Added search filters for Project Name, Sales Rep, General Contractor. Also, the report now loads 15 projects and if more are found, QFloors prompts you asking if you want to load more. Freight Cost on Sales Order Lines - The Modify Job Cost window for each line item (right-click the material cost on a line) now displays the freight cost, and the cost can be edited in that window. Materials List (Un)Check Highlight Button - When in any of the materials lists which have checkboxes, and you select multiple materials (select one item, then hold down the Shift key while selecting another item above or below the item you selected first), a (Un)Check Highlight button appears over the top of the Total amount at the bottom right of the list. Click that button to either check all of the selected items or uncheck them.
