The Challenge

Ashlie Butler, third-generation owner of Bob’s Carpet & Flooring, knew she needed a better software solution to manage her large, multi-location flooring business. Her previous software company “just got too big, too corporate”, and responsiveness and progression had plummeted. 

The system was unable to generate accurate financial reports in real time, making it difficult to truly know what was happening within the company. Additionally, the software was complex and challenging for employees to learn and use. 

Because Bob’s website and digital marketing was managed through a separate provider, the systems weren’t integrated. This meant staff had to manually enter leads and other data to keep everything aligned. 

After extensive research, Ashlie concluded that Bob’s needed new software, and QFloors was the obvious choice. Still, she worried about the potential disruption to her team. Training 70 employees—spanning a wide range of ages and technical experience—felt daunting. Given the volume of business Bob’s handles each day, any downtime was unacceptable.

The Solution

After working with Bob’s to complete preparatory requirements, QFloors sent a team of trainers on-site. There, the team conducted a week of intensive onboarding, showing each employee how the software automates their specific responsibilities.

By the end of the week, all employees were utilizing QFloors. 

Every store remained open throughout the process, requiring employees to juggle daily operations while learning the new system. Ashlie shared, “We did everything over the course of 2 weeks. The instructors played a huge role in keeping disruptions to a minimum.”
