B2B Compliant?
Friday, 28 March 2008
    1. Many floor covering business management systems claim to be B2B compliant but in reality that can mean something different to everyone.  Each flooring software company has a unique degree of compliance with the B2B standard.  It is important to understand exactly which B2B features are available with these products.

    1. B2B is an industry standard that is used to electronically transfer information between floor covering dealers and manufacturers or distributors. There are three main areas involved: 1) Product Catalog Import and Updates;  2) B2B Purchase Orders; 3) Vendor Billing Import.  Most software companies that claim to be B2B compliant can import product catalogs. Fewer are actually able place B2B purchase orders and accept Vendor Billing.  Yet all promote themselves as having B2B capability.  A great way to research the level of compliance for the software package you are considering is by asking a neutral third party (for example, Shaw, Mohawk, or Beaulieu). You may also visit the website www.fcb2b.com where you will be able to obtain more information about the flooring B2B initiative.
